Follow the Zebras shares with the reader (any reader actually) adventures from the fascinating to the mundane as experienced by two oddly optimistic, still middle-aged, women. If you revel in cheering on the merry folk who boldly wander off on what seems to be a good idea at the time then this blog is for you.
Just because something is deemed problematic or absurd (insert any other word of discouragement you have heard here), does not mean it should be avoided, rather, we believe life is meant to be lived with your heart and approached with a plan. And as far as we can tell, the more plans the better – as in big scrolls held in a bear hug against one’s chest.
Current Adventure: Pomp & Pyramids
We are off to London and Cairo for a look-see. To be clear, as there are over 40 towns with the name of Cairo and an equal amount named London, we shall be heading to England and Egypt. Want to follow what two middle-aged(relaxed definition) women can wander in-to and marvel out-of in these iconic locales – then you are in the right place. Seriously, put that Netflix on pause(binge watching reduces IQ by 4 points apparently) and let your imagination follow our laughter as we take a wee walk amongst the pillars of history.
“A goal without a plan is just a wish.” ― Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” ― Winston S. Churchill
And for the Scottish folk reading this, here is one for you all… “The best laid schemes o’ mice an’ men gang aft agley.” ― Robert Burns, Collected Poems of Robert Burns
